Printed in an edition of only 20, this handmade letterpress book includes 4 etchings on copper printed chine cole onto BFK Rives printmaking paper. Text is printed in 10pt Italian Old Style with 20 pt Augustea for display. The book is handbound into dragon skin paper covers using paper handmade by Reg Lissel.

LETTERPRESS
As I focus on printmaking, on drawing and painting and on letterpress printing, my goal for producing letterpress books is one a year. Here's a tentative listing of what you can expect from Cotton Socks Press:

2006: The Book of Shells
Ten wood engravings and ten poetic prose. One wood engraving is complete and the endgrain maple from Stephen Hogbin in Ontario is ready and waiting in my studio. I had only one wood engraving tool and have recently acquired a few more
This book is an exploration of the beautiful shapes and patterns that can be found and enjoyed in shells. The Book of Shells will be handbound with a hard cover.
