Andrea Taylor's Bio

Andrea has always been attracted to prints and to the idea of printmaking. Through a 2 year sojurn in New Mexico and artist friend Sam Feehan, Andrea came to understand that art is what she needed to do with her life. Through a series of intensive non-credit study opportunities, Andrea has made art weave through the fabric of her daily life. As soon as one piece is finished, ideas for 3 more come to the artist's imagination. Now living permanently in Vancouver, Canada, Andrea has a home studio that includes a letterpress and plenty of table space. She is also a member of Dundarave Print Workshop where she enjoys the company of 28 other printmakers and uses etching presses & acid to etch her images in metal. Images of boats and water predominate as the artist recalls her happy memories of childhood summers at Bowen Island, BC and walks by the water in Vancouver.
